Some of us know the struggle of unexpected tooth pain or even a broken tooth. In some cases it can be very painful and severe enough to require a trip to Urgent Care. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your dental office right away or if it’s after office hours, consider going to Urgent Care:
1. Swelling of the jaw and throbbing pain
2. Intolerable pain that is keeping you up at night
3. Fever-like symptoms associated with your dental emergency
Aching and bleeding of the gums, an adult tooth that is loose, or an adult tooth that has fallen out are all signs it is time to call your dentist as soon as you can.
How do I know if I can wait?
A toothache that is tolerable and comes and goes with no throbbing or swelling can most likely wait a little bit, but don’t hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions or if you’d like to schedule something in the future. Bring up any possible concerns at your next cleaning, and we can make a treatment plan for you to show you costs and go over everything else you’ll need to know.
